AEROCAMPUS Nouvelle-Aquitaine was born out of the commitment of a local authority, to which the State, via decentralisation, recognised competence in the field of vocational training: in this case, the Aquitaine Region - which has since become the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region -, whose President Alain ROUSSET decided to create a campus dedicated to training in aeronautical maintenance professions to anticipate the skills needs of manufacturers in the Aeronautics, Space and Defence (ASD) industry.
In just a few years, AEROCAMPUS Nouvelle-Aquitaine has become a benchmark player in the aeronautical training ecosystem, combining educational excellence, cutting-edge facilities and territorial roots.
AEROCAMPUS Nouvelle-Aquitaine benefits from a strong regional base in a strategic aerospace region, with more than 900 industrial establishments and generating nearly 70,000 direct jobs.
Labelled a Campus des Métiers et des Qualifications d'Excellence since 2020, it welcomes a wide range of students, including apprentices, military personnel, jobseekers and international students. The region's major aeronautical companies, universities, grandes écoles and training organisations have strongly supported AEROCAMPUS Nouvelle-Aquitaine since its creation around its missions, challenges and values.
