To obtain a PART 66 licence, candidates must first acquire a basic knowledge of regulatory theory, then work in a PART 145 organisation for 5 years before being certified. These licences enable mechanics to issue an APRS (Approval for Return to Service) and give a real boost to their aviation career with recognition of their skills at European level.
